Find out about how Derwen College, in Shropshire, helps young adults with special educational needs and disabilities prepare for adulthood.
We provide students real-life opportunities to learn a range of employability, independence and health and wellbeing skills.
There are no ‘typical’ students at Derwen College. All of our students have individual needs which can include:
- Moderate, Severe, Complex or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Physical disabilities
- Autism
- Behaviours of concern
We have four campuses based across Shropshire.
Our main campus is in Gobowen, near Oswestry, in north Shropshire, where we welcome both day and residential students.
We have a further three sites for day students, based at Ludlow, Telford and Walford.
You can visit our campuses through our Open Days which take place each term. Meet students, staff teams and find out more about what is on offer for your young person
