A Life Less
Ordinary
Our vibrant community works together to create a relaxed and positive environment that will help you prepare for real life.
We are flexible and adaptive in our approach, making sure we meet the learning needs and requirements of all our students.
We give you the space to develop hands on, practical experience and knowledge.
Helping students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) grow in confidence, develop skills for work and life, and achieve things they once thought were out of reach is one of the most rewarding parts of being involved with Derwen College.
We are looking for new governors and trustees to help shape the College’s future and to support young adults with SEND to thrive.
Governors play a vital role in Derwen College’s success, offering support, challenge and guidance while helping to keep students and clients at the heart of key decisions.
We would like to hear from people with the skills and experience to support the governance of a complex, multi-faceted organisation. Applications are especially welcomed from those with experience in further education, care or SEND.
