Learn Makaton at Derwen College
Communication is one of the most important skills we need in life, so it is essential that Makaton users can communicate their needs to those who support them each day.
Do you live or work with children or adults who use Makaton to communicate?
Makaton is a unique communication programme that uses symbols (pictures), signs (gestures) and speech. It supports the development of essential communication skills such as attention and listening, comprehension, memory, recall and organisation of language and expression.
